The 10 Types of People You'll Meet at the Gym

Are you one of them?

Yes, everyone is as unique as a pretty, pretty snowflake. Unless they're in the gym... once someone steps foot on a gym floor they magically become one of these 10 people below. Which one are you?

THE GYM BRO

"Dude, where's my protein?" They're more fit than anyone... or, at least, they think they're more fit than anyone.

THE ONE ON THEIR PHONE

"My best angle is selfie." Texting, SnapChatting, Mirror Selfies... the best workout they get is for their thumbs.

THE PERFECTLY GROOMED

"I'd sweat but then everything might run." Girls with a full face of makeup or guys with styled hair and strategically selected gym gear... because what if the paparazzi arrive and mistake you for a celeb?!

THE FIT COUPLE

"Sweat together, stay together." Serious #relationshipgoals! Look up to them or love to hate them, the fit couple is a ray of hope for us all.

THE PERSON WHO CAN'T EVEN

"Who am I and how did I get here?!" You know they don't want to be here. They know they don't want to be here. But they'll aimlessly walk around for at least 30min before finally giving in a boosting.

THE BUDDY WEARING JEANS

"It's laundry day, I swear." No... just no.

THE MACHINE HOG

"I've just got 1,000,000 more sets to go, then it's all yours." Whether they're a cardio bunny pretending like they didn't see the machine limit sign or a buddy who's put his towel on the leg press and feels like that means he's claimed it... it's annoying. Stop it.

THE NEWBIE

"If a lunge hurts, does that mean a reverse lunge will feel awesome?" The thing about newbs is we can all relate to them... because we've all been there. So be kind to our fresh fitness friends, because once upon a time, you were them.

THE SHOW-OFF

"Are you using that med ball? I want to do a one-legged squat holding batons of fire while playing the piano on it." You can't deny they are very (very) fit. But we all reserve the right to quickly whisper "Psh, I could do that... if I wanted to..." and walk away.

THE PERSON THERE TO MAKE GAINS

"I'm just here for the gainz." They don't care how they look at the gym. They don't want any distractions. They respect gym etiquette. They are in this for the long game. They're you. Did we miss anyone from this list? Comment below and add 'em!
