Day In The Life: Natalie Eva Marie

Ever wondered what the Ryderwear athletes do beyond the gym? It’s a constant juggle of organisation, motivation and dedication to live the life of an athlete. Their lives go well beyond what is seen on Instagram: some run their own business, others are parents, and some have multiple different jobs. 

We caught up with the one and only WWE superstar and Ryderwear queen Natalie Eva Marie, who took us through what a typical day looks like for her!

5:00AM - Wake Up

“First thing I do when I wake up is say hi to my two dogs, (they are Frenchies, so cute!) Heman and Mini and take them outside to their business. I normally would make my bed before all of that but I wake up before my husband Jonathan so I try to tiptoe out of the bedroom so I don’t wake him.” 

“I usually wake up between 4:30AM-5:30AM every day. I'm not a morning person, however it’s a must for me to wake up that early to make sure I start my day right. At that hour it's nice and quiet in our house too.”

5:30AM - Morning Routine 

“This leads to my everyday morning routine. After I take the dogs out I make myself some coffee and then I do my prayers, readings and meditation. All that takes anywhere from 30-60 minutes.”

“Every day is really different for me. My schedule shifts constantly, which I have learned to roll with. I'm a Virgo, so it’s a constant challenge for me to not get frazzled when things shift and change, but my morning routine above is 100% certain no matter what!”

“Once I finish with my prayers, reading and meditation it’s roughly 6:30AM, and from 6:30AM-8:30AM I will respond to work emails, set up my to-do list for the day, post on social media for my personal page @natalieevamarie as well as the pages for the companies I own @NEMFashion and @NEMFit too.” 

9:00AM - 10:00AM - Cardio

“I will always do some sort of cardio, whether that’s walking, boxing, jumping rope, or going on a run. Health and fitness is super important to me, not only from being an athlete my entire life, but I also truly believe health is wealth. If I'm not healthy then I can’t do all the things I love.”

“Right now I’m intermittent fasting which means I fast for 16 hours and then eat during my eight hour window, so I usually don’t have my first meal till 1:00pm.” 

“After my cardio session I will shower and get ready for the day.”

11:00AM - 12:00PM - Work 

“From 11-12 Jonathan and I will go live in our NEMfit Facebook group which is our online fitness business where we share our nutrition and workout programs. Right now we just kicked off our 30-Day Carb Cycling Challenge, so today we are doing our live check ins and answering any questions that our challengers / clients have about nutrition, and working out.” 

“When I'm working and doing errands around the house, I love wearing the Seamless Staples collection. It’s definitely a gym to everyday collection because it molds to your body and is so lightweight. Plus it’s super fashionable, stylish, colourful and trendy, allowing me to live in it outside of the gym, doing errands, going to meetings, and traveling.”

12:00PM - 2:00PM - Phone Calls/Zoom Meetings 

“This current day is set for phone interviews or Zoom interviews for my brand new movie with Bruce Willis called “Hard Kill” that just got released (YAY!) so all you guys reading this can now officially watch it on any of your paid streaming devices!”

1:00PM - 1:15PM - Meal 1

“I had a 15 minute break so my first meal of the day is an egg sandwich. It’s a pretty simple meal, with two pieces of sourdough toast and two whole eggs, with an additional two egg whites.”

2:00PM - 3:00PM 

“I will do my daily WOD (workout of the day) from my online fitness program at where I share my exact workout for the day.” 

“Check out below what I did today.” 

For time:

  • 400M Run
  • 15 x Overhead Dumbbell Lunges - Left (30lbs Men / 20lbs Women) 15 Overhead Dumbbell Lunges - Right
  • 600M Run
  • 30 x Dumbbell Front Rack Lunges
  • 800M Run
  • 30 x Farmer Lunges (with Dumbbells at sides)

“When I train I always do a form of weightlifting and then HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). On my subscription site, you get my workout of the day and always see a combination of both.”  

“We are all super busy with life and everything else we have going on which is why I really love HIIT training because you’re able to get amazing results in the least amount of time, making workouts super efficient.”

“My favourite collection to work out in is of course my collaboration collection with Ryderwear, NEM x RYDERWEAR.”

“It’s one of my favourites to train in because of the functionality of all the pieces. I have a bigger chest and I love how supportive the sports bras are. Plus the material is super quick drying which is a must because I sweat like a beast.”

“But honestly I live in activewear which is why I fell in love with Ryderwear in the first place. My gear has to fit and be functional, allowing me to train the way that I do without worrying about my clothing.”

3:00PM - 4:00PM - More Work and Reflection

“I’ll shower and then get together with Jonathan to see what orders need to be packed for NEMFashion and NEMFit as well as set up upcoming shoots for both brands and launches.”

“Everyday I am constantly trying to improve mentally, physically, and spiritually. I work a 12 step program of recovery so my sobriety is my number one priority and I know without it I wouldn’t be able to do all the things that I am doing in my life. I feel extremely lucky and blessed to have the career that I have now and don’t want to lose it along with everything that I could lose if I don’t stay sober.”

4:30PM - Snack

“I love a protein shake around this time. It keeps me full until dinner and I can get the extra energy to keep going with the rest of the day. Of course, it also helps aid with recovery after my workout.”

“I also snack on fruit throughout the day too.” 

5:00PM - 7:00PM- Dinner Time

“Dinner tonight is salmon! It’s a great source of healthy fats and protein! I paired it with rice to keep me nice and full.”

7:00PM - 9:00PM - Getting Ready For Bed 

“I had some dessert after dinner. My go-to is rice cakes, almond butter, and honey.” 

“We also watch a movie and go over the day as well as the next day in bed between 9:30-10:30 before heading to sleep! Got to make sure that I get the rest I need.”
